Our Story
Smithville Tire is a family-owned tire shop located in the heart of Smithville, Texas. Owned by James and Tami Cooper, we take pride in serving our community with friendly faces and down-home service.
We’ve been married since 2000 and are blessed with a big family of nine children—biological, adopted, and foster—who keep our lives busy and full of joy. Both of us grew up just down the road in La Grange, but Smithville has always felt like our true hometown. We love this town and the people who make it special.
Owning a tire shop wasn’t always in our plans, but when the opportunity came along, we knew it was the perfect way to combine Cooper's (James) skills and passion for the automotive world with our shared dream of running a family business. This shop is more than just work for us—it’s part of the legacy we’re building for our children.
You’ll often find Cooper in the shop working side by side with our boys, teaching them the trade and the value of honest work.
